At the initial consultation a full medical history will be taken and past and present medical disclosure will be necessary. This will include details of past and present medical conditions, surgeries, hospitalisation and medications.
You will be asked to undress to your underwear for the examination. Osteopathy has a holistic approach to the body and its function, which means that the examination may extend to areas other than the ones presenting with pain, discomfort or dysfunction. As the cause may originate away from where the symptoms are manifesting themselves.
Your diagnosis and treatment options will be discussed with you prior to treatment. However if you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.
Please allow extra time as regrettably, sometimes we may run a little late or take a little longer, as our patients may have a variety of aliments and disabilities as well as different ages.
You may be accompanied to your appointment by a chaperone if you wish. Any child under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian.
Your records will be held securely at the clinic for a minimum of 8 years. No information is shared beyond the clinic and without your signed consent.

If you are unable to attend or need to cancel your appointment, please ensure that you give us 24 hours notice. We regret that after this time a cancellation fee will be charged and payment of full appointment fee will be required.
